Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
Alzheimer's disease (AD) is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder marked by the deposition of amyloid‐beta (Aβ) plaques in the brain. Early diagnosis and effective targeted therapies remain critical challenges in managing AD. Herein, we present the design and development of novel functional polymer‐engineered magnetic nanoparticles for Aβ‐targeted diagnosis and therapeutic intervention. These nanoparticles feature a 3 nm iron oxide nanoparticle core for magnetic resonance imaging enhancement, as well as a functional polymer specifically engineered to target Aβ, exhibiting a fluorescence turn‐on response, colocalization and effective inhibition of Aβ fibrillation in vitro, highlighting their potential as a therapeutic agent for AD treatment. Our results suggest that polymer engineered magnetic nanoparticles hold promise as a versatile platform for AD diagnosis and targeted therapy, offering a potential solution for advancing AD management in clinics.
