Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Purpose The purpose of this study is to empirically explore the impact of digital resources and capabilities on construction enterprise performance from an integrated view of resource orchestration and dynamic capabilities. Design/methodology/approach A theoretical model based on the research hypotheses proposed in this study was developed and a questionnaire survey was conducted with 317 professionals. The data collected was analyzed by the structural equation modeling (SEM) technique. Findings The results show that digital infrastructure capability, digital analytics capability and strategic support capability have positive impacts on construction enterprise performance. Besides, digital infrastructure capability, digital analytics capability and strategic support capability have positive impacts on management capability, innovation capability and strategic capability, respectively. Furthermore, strategic capability has a positive impact on construction enterprise performance. Moreover, strategic support capability has a positive impact on construction enterprise performance by promoting these enterprises' strategic capability. Originality/value This research's value is as follows: First, this research contributes to the digital transformation literature by expanding the integrated view to the construction industry. Second, this research responds to Sirmon's call of understanding how to orchestrate resources in dynamic environments to fit with and facilitate implementation of firms' corporate- and business-level strategies via developing the theoretical model in this research from an integrated view.
