COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF TREATMENT RESULTS IN PATIENTS WITH FRACTURES OF THE TIBIAL CONDYLES.

Intra-articular fractures of the tibial condyles are one of the most common and complex types of injuries. The relevance of the problem of treating patients with fractures of this localization is due not only to the high prevalence, but also to the difficulties of diagnosis, as well as the complexity of repositioning and fixation of fragments, which leads to frequent unsatisfactory outcomes. Good results can be achieved with complete restoration of the cogruence of the tibial plateau, stable fixation of fragments and early rehabilitation of the damaged joint. Aim: Comparative analysis of treatment results in patients with fractures of the tibial condyles, development of rational surgical tactics to optimize treatment outcomes. Materials and methods: The work is based on the analysis of the treatment results of 82 patients aged 21 to 75 years with fractures of the tibial condyles. The clinical material isdivided into 2 groups: the main group - 44 patients who were treated with a combined method - arthroscopic surgery + transosseous compression osteosynthesis of the tibial condyles; the control group - 38 patients with identical injuries, osteosynthesis was used using immersion fixators. Results: The best treatment results were achieved in patients of the main group who underwent combined transosseous compression osteosynthesis - 75.6%, versus 45.2% in the control group. The difference in the treatment results of the studied groups of patients is primarily due to the low trauma and functionality of the proposed method. Stable transosseous compression osteosynthesis allows combining the periods of fixation and rehabilitation.
