Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This study designs and validates a calibration method for patient simulators measuring Heart Rate, Non-Invasive and Invasive Blood Pressure via electrical simulation, enhancing reliability in medical equipment adjustment and verification. Proper calibration prevents adverse events by ensuring device accuracy. The method selects clinically relevant values based on medical significance and international standards. Validation used three-year calibration data analyzed with ANOVA to confirm measurement significance, Tukey’s method for confidence intervals, and the Brown-Forsythe test for variance equality. Results demonstrated strong repeatability and reproducibility, proving the method’s effectiveness for patient simulator calibration. This approach reduces risks associated with uncalibrated medical devices, improving diagnostic reliability and patient safety.
