Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Substance Use Disorder (SUD) is a multidimensional clinical condition characterized by impaired control over substance use and significant deterioration in psychological, physical, and social functioning. The aim of this systematic review was to evaluate the effectiveness of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in the treatment of substance use disorders based on current evidence. The review was conducted in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. Studies published between January 2010 and June 2026 were identified through searches of PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, PsycINFO, and Google Scholar databases. A total of 653 records were identified. After duplicate records were removed and titles, abstracts, and full texts were screened according to the predefined eligibility criteria, 23 studies were included in the systematic review. The findings indicate that CBT is effective in reducing substance use, improving treatment adherence, and preventing relapse. Cognitive restructuring, behavioral skills training, coping strategies, and relapse prevention techniques were identified as the core components contributing to treatment success. Furthermore, CBT appears to be more effective when integrated with pharmacological interventions and tailored to individual patient needs. In conclusion, CBT is an evidence-based, flexible, and effective psychotherapeutic approach for the treatment of substance use disorders. However, individualized treatment planning and further long-term follow-up studies are needed to enhance the sustainability of treatment outcomes.
