Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This paper examines the development of Art Therapy in South Africa through a synthesis of practitioner reflections from four arts therapists working across the field. Rather than presenting a unified account, the paper engages thepartial, divergent, and at times contradictory perspectives that emerge from these reflections. Drawing on thematic analysis, the paper explores how Art Therapy in South Africa has been shaped through ongoing negotiations around origin, professionalisation, epistemological authority, access, legitimacy, and training.
