This column describes a micro-learning framework for efficient clinical staff education that includes the 5 Fs (Fatal, Fundamental, Frequency, Fixed, Fun) tool and the CAVE (Communicating and Validating Education) in 10 Minutes model. The 5 Fs tool prioritizes learning needs by urgency, and the CAVE in 10 Minutes model pairs 5 minutes of targeted instruction with 5 minutes of teachback validation. When applied in an intensive care unit, this two-part framework improved competency, protocol adherence, and staff confidence.
