Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
As cancer care becomes increasingly complex, health care organizations face growing challenges in developing and sustaining a highly skilled oncology workforce. Although advanced practice providers are integral members of the cancer care team, most nurse practitioner and physician assistant graduate programs provide limited oncology-specific education and clinical training, leaving many graduates underprepared for specialty practice. To address this gap, Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center developed a 12-month Advanced Practice Provider Oncology Fellowship Program. This column describes the fellowship's structure, outcomes, and role in preparing advanced practice providers for oncology practice, leadership, and workforce development.
