Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

Abstract Enamel translucency loss is a common esthetic problem related to early loss of enamel translucency and white spot lesions, usually located on anterior teeth. The traditional approach to restoring teeth often involves the removal of healthy tooth structure, which is against the philosophy of minimally invasive dentistry. Resin infiltration is a conservative approach to restoring tooth esthetics by improving the optical properties of porous enamel. This report presents two clinical cases that were treated with the use of resin infiltration for restoration of enamel translucency. For both cases, effective masking of enamel translucency was achieved through proper case selection, conditioning, and penetration of the resin. The clinical results showed that the use of resin infiltration was effective in improving the esthetics while maintaining the enamel health. These cases highlight the role of resin infiltration as a microinvasive, enamel-preserving approach for esthetic rehabilitation of enamel translucency defects.
