PENGARUH DIGITAL STORYTELLING TERHADAP KEMAMPUAN MENULIS TEKS NARASI PADA SISWA KELAS IV

The low level of story-writing skills among fourth-grade students served as the background for this study. The problem is evident in students who still struggle to come up with ideas, organize the sequence of events clearly, use capital letters and punctuation correctly, and choose the right words when writing stories. This study examines how the use of digital storytelling can help students in Class 4-B improve their narrative writing skills. This study employed a quantitative method using a One-Group Pretest–Posttest design. The study involved 23 students from Class 4-B. Research data were collected by administering a writing test consisting of narrative questions before the intervention (pretest) and after the intervention (posttest), using digital storytelling as the medium. The collected data were then analyzed for normality using the Shapiro–Wilk test and compared using a paired t-test. The analysis results showed that the mean pretest score was 56.48, which increased to 84.78 on the posttest. The normality test indicated that the data were normally distributed. The significance values were 0.888 for the pretest and 0.248 for the posttest. The results of the Paired t-test showed a Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. This indicates a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of digital storytelling has an impact on the narrative writing skills of fourth-grade students at SDN Pucang 4 Sidoarjo. ABSTRAK Rendahnya kemampuan menulis cerita di kalangan siswa kelas IV menjadi latar belakang dilakukannya penelitian ini. Masalahnya terlihat dari siswa yang masih mengalami kesulitan dalam menemukan ide, menyusun urutan peristiwa secara jelas, menggunakan huruf kapital dan tanda baca dengan benar, serta memilih kata-kata yang tepat saat menulis cerita. Penelitian ini mengkaji bagaimana penggunaan digital storytelling dapat membantu siswa kelas IV-B meningkatkan kemampuan menulis teks narasi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan desain penelitian One Group Pretest-Posttest Design. Penelitian melibatkan 23 siswa dari Kelas IV-B. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan memberikan tes menulis berupa soal narasi sebelum intervensi (pretest) dan setelah intervensi (posttest), dengan menggunakan digital storytelling sebagai medianya. Data yang dikumpulkan kemudian dianalisis normalitasnya menggunakan uji Shapiro–Wilk, lalu dibandingkan menggunakan uji t sampel berpasangan. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa nilai rata-rata pretest adalah 56,48, dan meningkat menjadi 84,78 saat posttest. Uji normalitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal. Nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,888 untuk pretest dan 0,248 untuk posttest. Hasil dari uji t sampel berpasangan menunjukkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) Sebesar 0,000, yaitu lebih kecil dari 0,05. Hal ini berarti terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil pretest dan posttest. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media digital storytelling berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan menulis teks narasi siswa kelas IV SDN Pucang 4 Sidoarjo.
