Vollständiger Abstract

Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?

As the resource “buffer pool” of manufacturing enterprises, how slack resources influence the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises? Based on the data of the manufacturing industry in Shanghai and Shenzhen from 2011 to 2023, this paper empirically tests the impact of slack resources on the digital transformation of manufacturing enterprises and its transmission mechanism. It is found that both absorbed slack resources and unabsorbed slack resources positively promote the digital transformation of enterprises. Dynamic capabilities play a partly mediating role between slack resources and digital transformation. The Executives' digital background positively regulates the relationship between absorbed slack resources and the digital transformation of enterprises, while the moderating effect on the relationship between unabsorbed slack resources and digital transformation is not significant. The article further supplements the research on the antecedents and processes of digital transformation, enriching the study of the impact boundaries of managers on digital transformation.
