Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
This study examines the influence of Work From Home (WFH) practices on halal supply chain performance in Malaysia, with digital coordination capability acting as the mediating variable. The study was developed following Malaysia’s implementation of remote working arrangements for civil servants due to the global energy crisis and increasing operational costs. While previous studies have extensively discussed WFH from organizational and human resource perspectives, limited research has explored its operational implications within halal supply chain environments. A quantitative research design was adopted using a cross sectional survey approach involving 250 respondents from halal logistics, transportation, warehousing, manufacturing, and government related sectors in Malaysia. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The findings revealed that WFH practices positively influence halal supply chain performance and digital coordination capability. The results also confirmed that digital coordination capability significantly mediates the relationship between WFH practices and halal supply chain performance. The study contributes to halal logistics literature by demonstrating the strategic importance of digital operational capability in sustaining halal supply chain efficiency under remote working environments. The findings further provide practical implications for policymakers and halal industry stakeholders in strengthening digital logistics systems, operational resilience, and sustainable halal governance.
