Vollständiger Abstract
Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
In the contemporary operating environment of energy companies, workforce efficiency increasingly relies not only on professional knowledge and technical skills but also on employees’ social and emotional competencies. This article substantiates the role of emotional intelligence as a factor in enhancing workforce efficiency and as a component of human capital within energy enterprises, and develops an approach for its assessment. The research methodology integrates direct, behavioural, and outcome indicators, constructs an integrated emotional intelligence index, normalises indicators, applies weighting coefficients, and employs regression analysis. The proposed approach was tested using a simulated example of the Joint Stock Company ‘Energy Company of Ukraine’. The results indicate high internal consistency of the emotional intelligence subscales, hierarchical differentiation of their levels across employee groups, and statistically significant correlations between emotional intelligence and work performance, the generalised employee effectiveness indicator, absenteeism, and error rates. These findings demonstrate that emotional intelligence is a measurable managerial resource that influences the quality of interactions, process stability, productivity, and the effective utilisation of human capital within energy enterprises.
