The paper explores the stylistic characteristics of Armenian decorative applied art in Kütahya, focusing particularly on high-value specimens of faience and ceramic craftsmanship. The religious, moral-didactic, and at times playful or narrative iconography of Kütahya’s applied art reflects the profound cultural expressiveness of the local artisanal environment. The study presents a comprehensive examination of Kütahya ceramics and pottery, aiming to reveal an epoch of intersecting cultures and traditions, when art not only flourished but also served as a vital carrier of national identity, communal memory, and unique aesthetic experience. This multilayered and stylistically diverse heritage forms a solid foundation for contemporary applied art. The research investigates the worldview tendencies embodied in Kütahya ceramic forms, expressed through the artistic languages of traditional Armenian, as well as Persian, Seljuk, and Byzantine art. Innovative design solutions are proposed for creating contemporary ceramic compositions based on national principles of form-generation.
