Worum geht es in dieser Arbeit?
Skin aging is a complex biological phenomenon resulting from the interaction between intrinsic factors, related to the body’s natural aging process, and extrinsic factors, such as exposure to ultraviolet radiation, environmental pollution, unhealthy lifestyle habits, and oxidative stress. These conditions promote structural changes in the skin, including the degradation of collagen and elastin fibers, reduced tissue regeneration capacity, and impairment of barrier function, resulting in wrinkles, laxity, loss of elasticity, and other clinical manifestations of aging. Massage also helps reduce orofacial muscle tension, improve circulation, and promote functional balance, serving as a safe and natural alternative to invasive procedures. Facial massage devices, when used at an appropriate frequency, enhance cosmetic effects by stimulating collagen and elastin. Red LED is a resource that acts on skin rejuvenation through photobiomodulation, a process that increases mitochondrial ATP production and stimulates collagen and elastin synthesis. This mechanism improves skin firmness, elasticity, and texture, while also promoting tissue regeneration and healing. It is a noninvasive, safe, and effective resource widely used in aesthetic procedures to reduce fine wrinkles and restore skin vitality. Conventional topical formulations often fail to adequately deliver active ingredients because of the skin’s inherent barriers and the solubility and instability of various substances. Emerging nanotechnology-based technologies offer a viable solution to these limitations. This article analyzes the role of various formulations based on organic and inorganic nanoparticles as delivery systems to improve the distribution and efficacy of anti-aging agents.
