The objective of this study is to identify the impact of the educational role of nursing on the promotion of exclusive breastfeeding among adolescent mothers. The methodology used is a systematic review, which involves compiling information from existing research on this topic to gather various perspectives, findings, conclusions, and recommendations, thereby minimizing bias and ensuring that the overall results are more reliable. The results indicate that exclusive breastfeeding should begin at birth and continue for the first 6 months of life. Its importance lies in the fact that it provides multiple benefits for the infant’s overall health, such as supplying essential nutrients, strengthening the immune system, and promoting proper growth and development. In addition, it fosters the mother-child bond, reduces the child’s risk of developing type 2 diabetes and obesity, promotes cognitive development, and improves the child’s learning at school and, consequently, their intelligence. Similarly, the mother reaps multiple benefits, such as a reduced risk of ovarian or breast cancer, improved emotional well-being, and a lower risk of depression, among others. It is concluded that the role of nursing is fundamental in promoting this through clear communication and emphasizing the importance of exclusive breastfeeding.
