Traffic police personnel operate under demanding conditions involving prolonged duty hours, technological requirements, financial concerns, environmental exposure, public interaction, and operational challenges. This study examines the influence of occupational stress on job satisfaction among traffic police personnel in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh using a multidimensional framework. The study considers Job-Related Stress (JRS), Technology-Related Stress (TRS), Financial-Related Stress (FRS), Environmental and Physical Stress (EPS), and Social Stress (SS) as major dimensions of occupational stress, while also examining Problems and Challenges (PC. A quantitative, cross-sectional research design was adopted, and data were collected from 600 traffic police personnel across selected study areas in both states using a structured questionnaire. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple linear regression, and analysis of variance. The measurement instrument demonstrated satisfactory reliability and construct validity. The study provides an integrated understanding of the occupational pressures experienced by traffic police and their implications for job satisfaction. The findings highlight the need for multidimensional organisational interventions addressing workload, technological adaptation, financial well-being, environmental and physical conditions, social pressures, infrastructure, staffing, and access to welfare support. The study contributes to the existing literature by providing a comparative framework for understanding occupational stress and job satisfaction among traffic police personnel in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
