Background: Transplantation is defined as the grafting of any human organ from any living person or deceased person to some other living person for therapeutic purposes. Globally, organ transplantation saves millions of lives. The number of people in need of transplants and the supply of organs in India differ significantly. As of 2021, India has a less organ donation rate of 0.52 donors/million population. This may be due to poor awareness about organ donation. Aims and Objectives: This study aims to assess the knowledge and attitude on organ donation among health care professionals in a tertiary care hospital in South India. Materials and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 100 healthcare professionals of Private Medical College in Chengalpattu District, Tamil Nadu, during January 2024 using a self-designed questionnaire. Data were collected and entered into Microsoft Excel, and appropriate statistical analysis was done using IBM Statistical Package for the Social Sciences Statistics v.26.
