Accessible Summary This letter translates qualitative findings on family caregiver needs into a brief nursing pathway that separates supportive involvement from unrestricted disclosure or transfer of clinical responsibility. It proposes three nurse‐led checks: consent, caregiver capacity and crisis boundaries, and suggests service‐user, caregiver and process outcomes for evaluating implementation in resource‐constrained mental health services.
