Background In 2023, U.S. Perinatal HIV Guidelines shifted from recommending exclusive formula feeding to endorsing shared decision-making for infant feeding among pregnant and postpartum persons with HIV (PPWH) on antiretroviral therapy (ART) with sustained viral suppression.
